Alice Marie Hausman, 79, of Alton, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital.

She was born on March 23, 1944, in Medora, the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Carroll.

Alice retired from Millers Mutual in Alton where she had worked as an underwriter.  She also worked at Lowes in the Home and Garden Department.

On February 20, 1959, Alice married Ronald Hausman, in Alton, Illinois. For nearly 65 wonderful years, she and Ron raised their children and grandchildren; creating a life their family looks to as example of true love and contentment.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Lacie Walters of Alton, Laura (Joe) Mihm of Lapeer, MI, and Wendy (Fredrick) Gowin of Bethalto; three sons Mark (Jeri) Hausman of Alton, Rowdy (Brandi) Hausman of Alton, and Ethan (Janet) Hausman of Alton; twenty one grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter Mary Elizabeth Hausman; five siblings.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Monday February 19, 2024, at Ingersoll Cemetery in Alton.

Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton has been entrusted with arrangements.
