Betty Jane Krankel

Betty Jane Krankel, 92, of Plainview, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, surrounded by her family.

She was born August 4, 1927, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Charles and Corrine (Doetke) Eldridge.

On September 9, 1967, Betty married John Krankel in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1998.

She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, was a longtime member of the United States Bowling Congress, and member of the Paddle Club in Bon Terre.

She will be missed by one daughter, Pamela Hausman of Plainview; two grandchildren, Ashli Bell (Alex Beasley), Megan Hausman; two great granddaughters, Madalyn and Mila Beasley; one sister, Anna Neff; one sister in law, Sug Eldridge; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Maloney; two brothers, Edward Schmidt, Norman Eldridge; one brother in law, Don Neff.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Betty’s family for the future education of her great grandchildren.
