Frederick “Kenny” Raymond, 82, of Godfrey, passed away June 9, 2022, surrounded by the love of his life and children.
He was born on November 4, 1939, in Alton the son of the late Fred and Vera Pauline (Burris) Raymond.
Kenny married his one true love Joann Bostick on September 16, 1961. She survives.
He graduated Bunker Hill high school in 1957, and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1961. Kenny was a truck driver, retiring from Teamsters 604. He enjoyed participating in truck rodeos and received many awards for his driving skills. Kenny continued his love for the profession by teaching truck driving school after retirement. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and most of all making memories with his family.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Joann; four children Michelle Peterson-Krause of Midlothian, TX, Dana (Tom) Mitchell of Brighton, Jeffrey (Karen) Raymond of Brighton, and Melinda (Bruce) Pohlman of Brussels, IL; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 sisters.
He is preceded in death by his father Fred and Violet Raymond and mother Vera Pauline McClintock; 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of memorial service at Noon on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.
