Obituary

Kennenth “Ken” Melvin Selby, 80, of Godfrey, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Alton Memorial Hospital.

 

He was born June 29, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Robert Carl and Ilene (Rumler) Selby.

 

On December 18, 1959, Ken married Patricia Ann Wieburg in Pekin, Illinois, where they lived a majority of their life together. She survives.

 

In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Randy) Kemper of Brighton; grandchildren, Lindsay, Whitney, Madeline, Jessica, Michelle, Kylie; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Patterson, Joanne Golden, Edith (Stan) Budyn; brother, Ronald Selby; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joy Barnes; sisters, Carol Moris, Joyce Phergo; and brothers, Robert Selby, Randy Selby.

 

In alignment with Ken’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

 

A celebration of life will take place at 11 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Pekin 1st Church of God, 2520 Maywood Pekin, IL.

 

Any memorial donations in Ken’s name may be made to the American Lung Associtation.
