Maher Colleen Owens

Maher Colleen Owens, 15, of Brighton passed away at 3:57 pm on Monday, November 16, 2020 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

She was born on July 22, 2005 in Alton to her loving parents Sherry (Orban) and Neal Owens.

Maher was a sophomore at Southwestern High School and loved drawing.  She went to art classes in Edwardsville at the SIUE Campus. Maher also enjoyed playing video games, hanging out with her friends, and spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents, Sherry and Neal, she is survived by three siblings Destiny, Peyton, and Lane; maternal grandmother Patty (Ron Whalen) Orban of Alton; paternal grandparents Kevin Owens of Eureka, MO and Fonda Owens of Brighton; several aunts uncles and cousins who will miss their beloved Maher.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents Jewel and Dorothy Orban; paternal great grandparents Mitchel and Elaine Crone.

Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 1 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Crossroads Community Church in Brighton.

Burial will follow at Brighton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
