Mitchell Vandillion Crone

Mitchell Vandillion Crone, 85, of Brighton, passed away at 8:30 am on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at his home.

He was born on April 30, 1935 in Sikeston, Mo to the late Densmore and Zilla (Vanguilder) Crone.

He married Elaine (Gadbury) Crone on December 11, 1958 in St Louis Mo. She preceded him in death in 2002.  Mitchell Married Sue Murrell on November 20, 2004 in Grafton IL. She survives.

Mitchell owned and operated Quick Way Auto Sales in Brighton.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; four children Diane (Bill) Bates of O’Fallon, IL, Breion (Sue) Crone of Brighton, Rhonda (Paul) Bilbruck of Brighton, and Fonda Owens of Brighton; two step children Brenda Smith and Mike Smith; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Elaine, five sisters and three brothers.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Brighton Cemetery.
