Norma Jane Heinemeier, 75, of Cottage Hills, passed away, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at her home.

She was born November 6, 1946, in Carlinville, Illinois, to the late Joseph Roy and Loretta (Herren) Taul.

Prior to retirement, Norma worked for Olin Brass for 25 years. Norma will be lovingly remembered for her eagerness to mow the lawn and the enjoyment she had from working in the yard. She enjoyed passing her time taking walks and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

She will be missed by her children, Larry (Jennifer) Heinemeier of Alton, Amy Heinemeier of Rosewood Heights, Tanya (Chris) Doucleff of Alton, Greg (Natalie) Heinemeier of East Alton; grandchildren, Zach Smith, Tevon Warren, Jazlynn Warren, Kaleb Heinemeier, and Brianna Heinemeier, her best friend; her sisters, Kay Ansell of Alton, Delores King of Godfrey; and special friend Bill Watson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Hellrung, Shirley Delehanty, Mary Yost, Barbara Rodney, Judy Kirsop, Sue Gray, Joseph Roy Taul, Jr., Dale Taul, Jack Taul, and James Taul.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:00 am  on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.

Burial of cremated remains will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Godfrey.

Memorials in Norma’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
