Ramona Kaye McQuaid, 81, of Shipman, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at home.

She was born on August 2, 1942, in Jerseyville, the daughter of the late Russell and Jessye (Hembrow) Moran.

Kaye married Roy Devear “RD” Mcquaid Jr. on August 13, 1960. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1995.

She retired from the Pancake Ranch in Bethalto.  Kaye enjoyed playing Chuzzle, cards, and shopping.  Her greatest joy was spending her time with her grandchildren and family.

Kaye is survived by three children, Roy “Skip” (Marcia) McQuaid of Jerseyville, Rodney McQuaid of Shipman, and Sherrie (Randy) Durbin of Shipman; grandchildren Dale Lee Bounds, Holly McQuaid-Cokel, Mandi Brooks, Ryan McQuaid, Jordan McQuaid, Hannah Dworzynski, and Adam Durbin; great grandchildren Braxton, Daniel, Zyler, Evan, Violet, Parker, Grace, Reese, Zoe, and AJ; siblings Nancy Hart and David Moran.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter in law Sherry Lynne McQuaid; son in law Dale Bounds; infant sister Diane.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Bethalto.
