Rhonda Kay McCombs-Corley

Rhonda Kay McCombs-Corley, 60, of Sullivan, Missouri, was welcomed into her Heavenly Home on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Kindred Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born September 3, 1962, in Sterling, Illinois, to Ronald Edward, Sr. and Roxanna Kay (Legal) Schultz.

On December 17, 1983, Rhonda married Aaron T. McCombs. She served alongside her husband in the Christian Church for many years as a pastor’s wife. He preceded her in death.

Rhonda spent many years working in the school system as an interpreter for deaf students. She also performed her beautiful sign language at community and church events. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent her time with her family, enjoying the peaceful outdoors of her country home. Her home was always decorated beautifully, incorporating antiques into her own projects. She loved being outside with her garden and animals. Rhonda was always smiling and brought her family much joy and happiness. She will be deeply missed.

On September 5, 2020, Rhonda married John Corley, at their home, in Sullivan, Missouri. The two spent several wonderful years together camping, hiking, and enjoying the simple things the Lord provides us in life.

In addition to her husband, John, Rhonda will be missed by her children: Brandon (Ashley) McCombs of Mexico, Indiana, Aschlee (Dan) Rieg of Westfield, Indiana; her mother, Roxanna (Richard Schmitt) Schultz-Schmitt of Dixon, Illinois; grandchildren, Noah McCombs, Kobe James, Kason Rieg, Eleanor Rieg, Noah Stuber, Addison Coria; five bonus kids; nine bonus grandkids; brother, Rodney (Shannon) Schultz of Chadwick, Illinois; 6 brothers and sisters in law; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her father, Ronald, and brother, Ronald E. “Tiny” Schultz, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Medora, Illinois. 107 North Jefferson Street, Medora, Illinois, 62063.

Cremation rites have been accorded and entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton, Illinois.
