Sharon Lois (Landon) Ebbeler Obituary

Sharon Lois Ebbeler, 88, of Brighton, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Willow Rose Nursing home in Jerseyville.


She was born on October 3, 1935, in Jerseyville, the daughter of the late Clayton and Helen (Pointer) Landon.


Sharon married Ralph Ebbeler on June 4, 1955, in Brighton. He survives.


She spent her career teaching first grade for Southwestern School District retiring in 1991.  Following retirement Sharon and Ralph spent 20 years as snowbirds wintering in Florida.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church Jerseyville. Sharon enjoyed golfing, playing cards, especially bridge, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.


Sharon is survived by her husband, Ralph; three sons, Jeff (Dorothy) Ebbeler, Steven (Susan) Ebbeler, and Randy (Lisa) Ebbeler all of Brighton; seven grandchildren Matthew (Karen) Ebbeler, Marcie Ebbeler, Paul Ebbeler, Nikki (Jim) Cummings, Sonya (Jeff) Ross, Quinton Ebbeler, and Grant (Erica) Ebbeler; fourteen great grandchildren; sister Marilyn Burk and several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Helen; great grandson Dlyan Ross; brother Clayton Landon.


Services will be private with a burial at Bethany Cemetery in Godfrey.
