Alex & Meghan Anderson

Owners/Funeral Director/Embalmer

Alex and Meghan Anderson, both licensed funeral directors and embalmers, have been working in the riverbend area since 2014. They are 2014 graduates of the Mortuary Science Program at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois.

Alex grew up in Carlinville, Illinois. He is a fourth generation funeral director following in the footsteps of his father, who co-owns and operates Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, grandparents, and great grandfather, owners of Wiese-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, Illinois, which opened in 1933.

 Meghan grew up 100 miles west of Chicago, in Sterling, Illinois, and was always fascinated by end-of-life culture and customs. She knew from and early age this was the path she wanted to peruse in life.

They are the parents of two daughters, Josie and Aliza Anderson, and a son, Cooper Anderson.
